Diabetes is a condition that makes it difficult for the body to process glucose, commonly
known as sugar. There are two types of diabetic emergencies: when the person’s blood
glucose , or sugar, is too high and when their blood glucose is too low.
1. What are some Signs and Symptoms of a Diabetic Emergency?
Signs and symptoms of a diabetic emergency include: trouble breathing , fast or deep
breathing, feeling weak or different, sweating and a fast heartbeat.
2. Can you give sugar in the event the person is having low or high blood glucose?
If the person is known to have diabetes and is having a diabetic emergency, or request
some form of sugar, we can help by giving sugar.
3. How many grams of sugar can be given to a child? How many grams of sugar can be
given to an Adult?
If you don’t know whether the person’s blood is low or high, it’s good to get some sugar.
The recommended amount of sugar is 15 grams for children and 20 grams for adults.
4. Do you have any risk factors that may make you susceptible to a diabetes?
In the last one year I have undergone research and thank God everything was normal for
me, I hope living a healthy lifestyle and doing sports will keep my body healthy.

4. I recently had an examination and everything ended well, my blood sugar is normal.
